Crowns and Bridges

Fillings work for minor instances of tooth decay and small cavities. But what do you do when A large piece of your tooth becomes damaged or missing? How do you restore dental health when there’s no cavity to fill? By using crowns and bridges, of course! Both use your natural teeth to restore a functioning bite and healthy-looking smile - albeit in different ways.

Crowns

It’s possible to restore and preserve a damaged tooth - even one that’s literally been broken down to the root. This is down using “crowns”: tooth-shaped caps and covers that go over whatever’s left of your natural tooth, protecting it from further damage and improving its appearance.

A crown can easily and completely cover a tooth that causes discomfort or embarrassment. It’s often the only alternative to completely removing a tooth - and is significantly cheaper than getting a dental implant.

Today, modern crowns are made from porcelain and other ceramic materials that can be chosen to completely match the color of your teeth. This means you can get your crown installed discretely and without anyone knowing; yet another benefit.

Bridges

Crowns exist to preserve and save existing but damaged teeth. Bridges are a little different, in that they replace up to 3 adjacent teeth that are completely missing. This is done by attaching one or several prosthetic teeth to a dental bridge, which is then attached to healthy teeth on either side of the gap.

In other words, a crown covers an existing (but injured) tooth - and a bridge completely replaces missing teeth after getting attached to adjacent, healthy ones.

Like the crowns we use at our clinic, our bridges are lifelike and made from high-quality ceramic materials. To learn more about crowns, bridges and the other services listed on our website, call us at (770) 277-5588 ; we’ll be glad to give you a free quote.

Our Happy Customers

"I had a wonderful experience here at Reach Dental! Everyone was so nice and helpful. I was actually a bit nervous because I had not been to the dentist regularly within the last two years or so. Tania explained everything she did step by step and what I need to do once I leave to maintain until I come back. I will definitely be coming back every 6 months or as often as they recommend!"

Kia Kia

"I've been going to Reach Dental for over a year now. The staff is friendly and helpful and the dentists and hygienists do excellent work.
